Gil Sunshine
Research Lead, Matter Design
Gil Sunshine is Research Lead at Matter Design where he has contributed to projects since 2019. He graduated with a Master of Architecture from MIT in 2022 where he was a graduate fellow, teaching assistant and research assistant. Prior to pursuing graduate study in architecture, he worked as a designer and fabricator for Daniel Arsham, Snarkitecture and Santiago Calatrava Architects and Engineers. Gil received his Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University where he studied art, architecture and sociology. Gil develops designs and tools for design and fabrication that aim to make the built environment less hard, flat, and static.
